Varistor

Varistor

A varistor is a kind of resistance component with nonlinear volt-ampere characteristics and is mainly used to embed voltage when the circuit is under overvoltage and absorb the excess current to protect sensitive components. ZnO-based (zinc oxide) varistors are widely used, composed of divalent zinc (Zn) and hexavalent oxygen (O). Therefore, from the material point of view, a ZnO-based varistor is a kind of "II-VI oxide semiconductor".

• Embedded component with a microsecond response speed.
• Current capacity varying from 50A to 40 kA.
• Voltage ranging from 6V to 1.47 kV or higher, can be customized with different specifications to meet customers' needs.
